Eternal Names is dedicated to honoring those who have passed while ensuring the highest level of privacy for our contributors. This policy outlines our data practices.
Memorial Data
Names, biographical text, and photos of the deceased for public remembrance.
Contributor Data
Your contact email address is collected solely for verification and moderation purposes.
Security Telemetry
We collect limited security telemetry (e.g., hashed IP address and basic request metadata) to prevent abuse and enforce rate limits. We do not use device fingerprinting for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
Non-anonymized contributor data (contact emails) is encrypted and is accessible only to authorized Administrators for verification.
Eternal Names is operated by the Eternal Names team. Privacy contact: privacy@eternalnames.org.
We do not use advertising cookies. We use essential cookies for authentication (if you log in as an admin) and security tokens to prevent cross-site request forgery.
To minimize risk to our contributors, contact details submitted through forms are removed or anonymized from our primary systems within 5 days after the submission is resolved (accepted, rejected, or processed). Encrypted backups may retain historical snapshots for a limited period before expiring.
If you contact us via the enquiry form, we collect your email address and message content to respond to your request. These messages may be retained longer than 5 days if an active conversation is ongoing, but will be anonymized once resolved.
Our platform is hosted on secure servers via Google Cloud Platform. Data is stored in accordance with modern security standards.
Individuals have the right to request the correction or removal of their data or that of their family members. Please visit our Corrections & Removal page for the official process.
For specific privacy inquiries, please use our official General Inquiry form.
